Course Details
Are you qualified to receive Botox® and Dermal Filler training?
The Botox® and dermal filler certification classes are formatted especially for medical professionals, including Physicians (MD &DO), Registered Nurses (RN), Nurse Practitioners (NP), Physician Assistants (PA), Dentists (DDS & DMD), Dental Hygienists (RDH) and other healthcare professionals. If you are looking to obtain a Botox® or a dermal filler certification, this is the course to get you started! We have trained well over 25,000 healthcare professionals from all 50 states and over 30 countries. AAFE facial esthetic in-person events provide an opportunity to apply hands-on Botox® training and dermal filler training to live patients. Participants will be instructed in assessment and consultation for botulinum toxin (Botox®, Xeomin, and Dysport®) and dermal fillers (Juvederm®, Revanesse®, and Belotero®).
In addition to learning the physiology and pharmacology of Botox® injections and dermal filler injections, You’ll learn the indications and contraindications for these injection treatments, receive in-depth instruction in the anatomy, neurophysiology, musculature, and circulatory system of the oral and maxillofacial areas.
Course Objectives and Outline for Botulinum Toxin (Botox®, Xeomin) Training and Dermal Filler Training Level I Courses
SAFETY AND PATIENT PREPARATION
- Patient assessment and consultation for botulinum toxin (Botox®, Xeomin, Dysport®) and dermal fillers (Juvederm®, Restylane, Voluma)
- Indications and contraindications for these pharmaceutical agents
- Patient assessment and consultation for botulinum toxin (Botox®) and dermal fillers
- Indications and contraindications for these pharmaceutical agents
- In depth instruction in the anatomy, neurophysiology, musculature and circulatory system of the oral and maxillofacial areas
- Review of sterile technique as it relates to the use of injectable pharmacologic agents
- Safety and risk issues for botulinum toxin and dermal fillers injectable therapy
- Learn the physiology and pharmacology of oral and maxillo-facial injectable treatment
- Learn the best treatment techniques including anatomical muscle sites, muscle depths, proper preparation and dilution for the best oral and maxillofacial therapeutic and esthetic outcomes
- Knowledge of possible adverse reactions, how to avoid adverse reactions, and management and treatment of possible complications
INJECTION TRAINING
- Patient evaluation for the best dental and facial esthetic and therapeutic outcomes
- Volumizing nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and lifting up the corners of the mouth using anatomical landmarks
- Beautiful and subtle lip enhancements by adding volume to establish proper lip and smile lines
- Smoothing lip lines and eliminating vertical “smokers” lines
- Botulinum toxin therapeutic treatment for bruxism to relieve TMJ syndrome
- Live patient training including diagnosis, treatment planning, proper dosing and delivery of botulinum neurotoxin and dermal fillers
- Observe and live patient train on many model patients during the day through co-diagnosis and treatment planning of multiple patients. This is the cornerstone of successful injectable treatment for all AAFE courses.
- One on one comprehensive mentored instruction as you work hands-on your model patient

- Integrating botulinum neurotoxin and dermal filler therapy into therapeutic and esthetic treatment plans
