In this online course, you will learn how to treat one of the most frustrating esthetic and functional problems to both patients and dentists.

“Gummy smiles”, technically known as maxillary gingival excess, is an esthetic concern to most patients who display a lot more gingiva than teeth in the maxilla. Aggressive surgical intervention involving osseous surgery and teeth preparation are the most common treatments for gummy smiles. Most patients do not accept that aggressive treatment plan but are very interested in a non-invasive and simpler approach.

This online course will demonstrate in detail the use of Botox® and dermal fillers to correct gummy smiles and establish proper lip and smile lines esthetic proportions in a 10-15 minute appointment.
Course objectives:
• Learn minimally invasive non-surgical treatment techniques of maxillary gingival excess (gummy smile) with Botox® and dermal fillers as an alternative to or in conjunction with osseous surgery and teeth preparation
• Be able to compare different treatment options for these patient concerns
• See over the shoulder HD quality demonstrations of the actual techniques
• Identify the six different types of gummy smiles with recommendations for best treatment options
The Bottom Line:
Dr. Louis Malcmacher will demonstrate these new, innovative, and very successful techniques for treating gummy smile cases that will result in excellent esthetic and therapeutic outcomes for your patients.
