Dr. Louis Malcmacher, President, MAGD

Dr. Louis Malcmacher maintains a cosmetic and general practice in Bay Village, Ohio. He is an internationally recognized lecturer and author, known for his entertaining and comprehensive teaching style. He has vast experience in total facial esthetics and has taught tens of thousands of healthcare professionals in the areas of smile design esthetics and facial injectable therapy. He has also lectured at many major medical and dental meetings throughout the US, Canada, Europe, and the Middle East. Dr. Malcmacher has also been extensively featured in the general media. His interviews have been seen on CNN, Fox, ABC, CBS, NBC, 20/20, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Jane, Shape, Washington Post, Cleveland Plain Dealer, Detroit Free Press, GQ, Edge, Newsweek, Reader’s Digest, and Men’s Health. Cristin Mercer brings over 30 years of experience in the beauty & wellness industry as a licensed instructor of cosmetology and esthetics, spa director, spa & salon proprietor and as a business development consultant to international skin care brands and device manufacturers. Cristin excelled as the Program Director for the Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics, soon after which she founded Mercer Aesthetics & Spa Consulting (MASC). Through over 16 years with MASC she provided direct educational and business consulting to market-leading skin care organizations, state-of-the-art medical device manufacturers, individual salons/spas and dermatological/cosmetic medical practices. In this role Cristin has also written extensive medical esthetic curricula for schools of esthetics, continuing education programs as well as advanced protocols for patient-centered medical practices. Currently as Senior Business Development Manager, Cristin has partnered with Environ and DermaConcepts for 15 years to provide educational and business support to the national growth of the Environ® brand as well as to provide sales and education directly to the New England medical esthetic community.

Jay A. Shorr, BA, MBM-C, CAC I-XIV is the founder and managing partner of Shorr Solutions, formerly known as The Best Medical Business Solutions, a Florida-based medical practice consulting firm assisting practices with their operational, administrative and financial health. Jay served as the Vice President of Operations and Practice Administrator for a leading Board-Certified Dermatologist and Cosmetic Surgeon in South Florida until her passing in June 2012, and held partnerships in two leading South Florida plastic surgery centers in the past. Mike Buckner has spent the majority of  his career in the Dental technology field, specializing in maximizing technology to stay current with today’s communication trends.  He was a Business Development Executive for a patient communication technology company for several years where he oversaw the strategic relationships and partnerships for the dental industry.  He also spent some time as a Director of Business Development for a business analytics company, and is currently the Director of Business Development for Weave. Over the past several years, he has spoken across the country, helping offices and teams adapt to the generational shifts with communication habits to increase patient loyalty and overall efficiencies within practices.  He is married to a Dental Assistant, and has 20 month old identical twin boys.

Rick Diaz is the Co-Founder of Tier3 Media. Rick has been a marketer and entrepreneur for the majority of his career, before that he honed his skills in the corporate arena. He helped build funnels and systems used by top sales reps in NY and NJ for two fortune 500 companies ADP and Paychex. Kathryn F. Edgerton, Esq. is Partner with the Nelson Hardiman Healthcare Law Firm in Los Angeles, California. Toni Lee began working for a prominent plastic surgery office in NY and remained lead esthetician for many years assisting with growing the practice, training a team, creating treatment protocols and building sales. Toni Lee has written articles and spoken on a variety of skin care topics at industry shows and presently trains physicians, nurses and estheticians as a National Master Trainer for Dermaconcepts, exclusive distributor of Environ Skin Care in the USA.

He graduated from California State University, Fresno with a B.S. in Chemistry, where he worked in the industry before attending dental school at New York University. Dr. Fox completed one-year residencies in the fields of Oral Pathology and TMD. He practiced in the United States Navy and completed a General Practice Residency at Camp Pendleton, CA. Dr. Fox has expanded TMJ therapeutics to include botulinum toxin. Dr. Fox joined the AAFE in 2016 and has successfully involved facial esthetics into the practice. As a graduate of the National Aesthetics Institute in Scottsdale, Arizona, Lisa has worked in the aesthetics industry for the past 19 years. She has been recognized for her excellence in client service, team relations, education and training. Her passion is to provide results-driven customized programs for home care and in-office treatments in a relaxed, customer focused environment.

Linley Law :

Linley Law

Linley Law, Key Accounts Manager with Merz Aesthetics, has spent her life creating and developing relationships. After earning her MBA, she wanted to work with people and build something special. Her ability to connect with clients and their customers was how she was able to move from an entry-level role in sales at Xerox Corporation to becoming National Accounts Manager by the age of 24. Her interest in the elective medical field and her desire to be in an industry where she was her own customer led her to Campbell Cunningham Laser Center. There, as Director of Marketing, Linley worked with the partners to build one of the first fully-tracked marketing programs in the industry. The practice experienced a 350% monthly growth by the second year. Being a part of such a fastest-growing and profitable laser center put Linley in the cross hairs of the largest manufacturer of LASIK technology. Soon, Linley was recruited as Business Development Manager for VISX, now part of Johnson & Johnson. She was, in fact, part of the inaugural expansion of Business Development Managers at VISX, pioneering their forward-thinking educational and practice-building programs.  Linley would land one of her most challenging roles in her career as consultant for venture capitalists in the aesthetics industry, a role that would soon forge a new career direction. Today, Atlanta Face & Body, with its flourishing business in both surgical and advanced non-invasive aesthetics procedures, is one of the marquee providers of Merz technology in the Southeast. Linley’s role at Merz Aesthetics is to drive other practices with innovative best-practices programs and help them achieve the same kind of success.

Jacob Krysiak Esq. :

Jacob Krysiak Esq.

Jacob Krysiak Esq.is an associate of Polsinelli PC in the Corporate and Transactional group. He is based in the Dallas, Texas office and is committed to understanding the industry in which clients operate.
