Kathleen F. Olender, DDS, MS, FICOI
Dr. Olender completed her undergraduate studies at Bucknell University, Lewisberg, Pa and received a BS and DDS degree from the University of California, San Francisco. She earned both a specialty certificate in Endodontics and a masters degree in Radiology from the University of Louisville,KY. Dr. Olender trained in orofacial pain under Daniel B. Green and worked in UCSF pain clinic for many years. She has utilized Botulinum toxin and trigger point injections in the treatment of facial pain for almost thirty years. Dr. Olender has held faculty positions at UCSF, University of Louisville, and Tufts Univ, Boston.and lectured for UNR GPR program and UNLV. She has also lectured on Endodontics, pain, bone physiology, and dental implants both nationally and internationally since 1993. Dr. Olender has been in private practice in San Francisco and practiced the last 24 years in Las Vegas. Her Las Vegas practice is dedicated to Endodontics, Implantology, pain, and facial aesthetics. She has participated in organized dentistry and has held chair positions in the AAE, been a delegate for the NDA, and is a fellow of the ICOI. She is an accomplished equestrian and enjoys competitions in her spare time.

Tammy Phillippi, RN
Tammy earned a BS in Business from Bowling Green State University in 1988. After working in business for a few years she realized her passion was in medicine. Tammy graduated from Kettering College of Medical Arts in 1993 with her nursing degree. After graduation she worked in the bone marrow transplant unit at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. In 1998 Tammy completed the Physician Assistant Program at KCMA and went to work for Wright State University in the family medicine department.
In 2010 her husband purchased a dental practice in Dayton. After a few years of practice they both realized that orofacial pain was a common theme in the practice. They both started taking courses with the AAFE and had private training in their office. Since then they have opened a medical spa in the dental practice. Tammy has continued her training with the AAFE and is honored to help mentor courses.

Marina Funtik, DMD, MS, FACP
Dr. Marina Funtik started her dental career as a dental lab technician in Europe, moved to the US and graduated summa cum laude Phi Beta Kappa and earned her DMD degree from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. She also holds a Masters Degree in her specialty of Prosthodontics and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics.
She owns 2 practices in Colorado Springs: Oasis and EsthetiX. She was named Rising Star and Woman of Influence and a TOP Dentist. She also serves on the Board of the American Heart Association and in her free time, enjoys the outdoors.

Larry Schmakel, DDS
Dr. Lawrence Schmakel maintains a general practice in Sylvania, OH with a broad spectrum of services which include Total Facial Esthetics, TMD and Sleep Apnea, Implants, Invisalign, Cerec and BioLase Technology. He graduated from The Ohio State University and has attended all the Continuum’s at the LD Pankey Institute. He received his Fellowship Award from the AGD in 1991.
Dr. Schmakel is a member of many dental organizations, including the Toledo Dental Society, (where he is currently Secretary-Treasurer and will be president in 2018), the Chicago Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, (where he received the Fellowship Award in 1991), the American Dental Association, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the Ohio Dental Association, the Academy for Sports Dentistry, the American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE), where he currently serves as both an Implant Director and Mentor, CerecDoctors.com, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, (AADSM), He’s also a past Advisor to the Ohio Dental Association for Sports Dentistry and a past spokesman for the Ohio Dental Association.
He is also on the Board of Advisors at Owens Community College for both their Dental Hygiene, Dental Assisting and EFDA Programs.
Dr. Schmakel also takes care of the annual dental exams for the Detroit Tigers, and is the Team Dentist for the Student Athletes at the University of Toledo.

Jessica Bishop, DDS
Dr. Jessica Bishop graduated from Grove City College in Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Molecular Biology with the distinction of Magna Cum Laude. She then attained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University Of North Carolina School of Dentistry in 2000. She opened her current practice in Chapel Hill in 2000. Her affiliations include the American Dental Association, Dental Foundation of NC, NC Dental Society, Association of Women Dentists, American Academy of Facial Esthetics, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Hundreds of hours of continuing education have been completed in the areas of Invisalign, sedation dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and pharmacology.

Dr. Ira M. Bernstein has been a general dentist for over 35 years. He trained under one of the early pioneers in the treatment of temporomandibular disorders and was an associate in his New York City practice for several years. Dr. Bernstein has done research, authored, and published papers on Cosmetic Dentistry and Temporomandbular Disorders in national and international dental journals. He holds a U.S. Patent for an invention used to help treat TMD patients. Dr. Bernstein has attained Diplomate status in several professional groups and has achieved Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD).
