Dysport® / Reloxin for Frown Lines

One of the more well known types of Botulinum Toxin is Dysport®, also known as Reloxin. It comes from DNA technology that separates the toxin from the bacteria clostridia botulinum which is commonly known as causing botulism. Botox® and Dyspor®t contain mostly the same materials. Dysport® is a effective, non invasive treatment for relaxing facial muscles, which can erase frown lines and achieve moderate brow lifts.

What are frown lines?

Frown Lines form over time. Repeated movement of the facial skin by the muscles creates frown lines between the eyebrows. Frown Lines are not only age related. Frown lines are dynamic they happen because of the way a person’s face moves. Because frown lines are created by facial movements such as frowning or squinting, they may develop even in younger adults. The muscles above and between the eyebrows contract and tighten, and can cause wrinkles. Dysport® blocks the nerve signal that causes these facial muscles to contract. This results in a reduction of muscle activity in the treated area and temporarily stops the contraction of these muscles. Dysport® restricts muscles. If you are to restrict the group of muscles that cause eyebrow depression, you can achieve a brow lift. Using botulinum toxins as a means for achieving a brow lift is one of its more common uses. Proper Dysport® training is a must for patients when choosing a facial estheticpractitioner.
