Approved by the Food and Drug Administration in March 2008, Prevelle Silk is a new hyaluronic acid soft tissue filler that contains lidocaine, a local anesthetic. This clear gel provides a less painful injection than many other hyaluronic acid products without lidocaine.
Prevelle Silk in injected into the facial skin and temporarily reduces moderate to severe wrinkles and folds due to aging. It is effective in smoothing lines and wrinkles with minor irritation especially the nasolabial folds (the furrows that extend from the base of the nose to the angle of the mouth). Prevelle Silk has a lower concentration of hyaluronic acid, which results in very little swelling that makes it great for a last-minute filler.
Prevelle Silk facial filler is soft gentle product with results that last from three to four months. That makes it perfect for first time users of dermal fillers that allow them to “try out” a filler, and switch to one of our other fine products for longer-term results.
Side effects, if any, tend to be mild to moderate and usually last less than seven days. These include mild pain, tenderness, redness, bumps, and swelling.
