Self Test

The American Academy of Facial Esthetics Level II advanced course is an exclusive course - let us know the answers to the questions below so we can make sure it is right for you. What we have found is our Level I two day course is much more intensive than just about every other course out there, since we cover much more than just the basic procedures. We know this from many, many doctors who have taken our course because they just did not feel prepared with the education they had previously received from the other courses they had already taken from other Botox and dermal filler education companies. We want to deliver the best education possible for our attendees. We want to make sure that you have the best experience at our courses and are prepared for the Level II course. These questions are solely to determine if our Level II advanced course is a good fit for your present level of education and experience.

If you have taken any other entry level Botox and dermal filler course outside of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics Level I course, please submit the answers to the required questions 1-7 to jeannine@facialesthetics.org

  1. Which basic course have you taken and were you satisfied with the education you received?
  2. Approximately how many Botox procedures have you performed since taking that course?
  3. Approximately how many dermal filler procedures have you performed since taking that course?
  4. Which areas of the face do you currently treat with Botox – glabellar area, forehead, crow's feet, TMJ – masseter and temporalis, mentalis, smoker's lines, depressor anguli oris, levator labii superious?
  5. Which areas of the face do you currently treat with dermal fillers – nasolabial folds, lips, corners of mouth, mentalis?
  6. Have these services become a routine part of your practice?
  7. Have you done combination cases of Botox and dermal fillers together?

Self test questions - these are not required but are a good self test to see if you are ready to take our Level II course

  1. What are the four most common adverse reactions with Botox treatment? How are they treated?
  2. What are the four most common adverse reactions with dermal filler treatment? How are they treated?
  3. What is a vascular occlusion and how would it happen with dermal filler treatment? What vein or artery might be occluded and where is it anatomically? What are the possible mild to severe consequences of a vascular occlusion?
  4. How would you treat a vascular occlusion that was caused by dermal filler treatment, both short term and long term?
  5. Name the muscle that would be treated with Botox that could raise the corner of the lips and where would you inject it?
  6. After a Botox treatment, if your patient comes in with eyebrows that peak at their lateral borders, what muscles would you inject to correct this common injector error?

If you are unsure of  or do not know some of the answers to the questions above, you may want to consider taking our Level I Botox and dermal filler course even if you have had previous experience with Botox and dermal fillers.

We look forward to your responses. If after asking yourself theses questions you would like to attend our Level II course, you may sign up by fax here, or call Jeannine at 800-952-0521
